Ecosystem Services are the processes and products provided by Nature that provide seen and unseen benefits for mankind. These systems are the critical life support system for Nature and the planet. Currently mankind uses these systems on a limited scale –for example: timber production, crop fertilization, and commercial fishing. When fully integrated, Ecosystem Services and Nature can work on much deeper levels to tackle the current and future issues that will face us; including carbon sequestration, water infiltration and purification, phytoremediation, and climate regulation. Ecosystem Services even work on a transendent level, boosting human health through physical activity, mental wellbeing, and spiritual connection to our surroundings.
